Headlight Condensation

Hi all,

Only had the car for a few days and I've noticed condensation in both front headlights. I never had this problem in F31 xenon's.

Is this normal? I always assumed the headlights were sealed.

Supposedly dealerships consider condensation acceptable, droplets not so (from my complaint previously) are there droplets visible?

I have read that some dealers will say it’s normal and others will replace under warranty with no issues.

IMO it’s not normal. Any headlights should be free of water. If it was really bad it would affect the light output until it dried.

Good luck.

I had the headlights replaced under warranty on my old F36. Firstly, the dealer has to try drying out the headlights by opening the bulb cap and leaving the headlights switched on for an hour. If the condensation returns again within the following few weeks then the headlights will be replaced. That was my experience anyway.
