Looks pretty but does it make power ?
Thanks! With a JB4 it will allow you to run map 2 which increases boost further. I'm not sure how much power the change in map has by itself, but with the catted DP you can expect up to about 20 hp and 30 ft-lbs. It is a great supporting mod with a tune.

Also if you didn't get your previous questions answered, we offer versions for the stock catback (3" connection) or we offer the 3.5" connection which only works with our catback exhausts. Compared with the factory DP, the catalyst is larger and far more free flowing as it utilizes a 200 cell per square inch (CPSI) metallic spun catalyst. The factory downpipe is 2 stage, 600 CPSI followed by a 400 CPSI ceramic catalyst.

3. What is oem diameter of downpipe (connection to exhaust) ?

4. Im not understanding if i have 2 connection points from oem turbo , and then oem exhaust ..... How can an aftermarket downpipe be larger ????

Isnt the factory connection spots, the "bottleneck " ????

Also, i guess your catalytic downpipe "flows" better ....???

Pm me cost plz...for factory (oem) connections , i have no exhaust.

Also,

What hp/torque will it add to my car :

2016 435i coupe F32/N55. JB4 Map 1, no intake, no exhaust.

Also, is it ok to add downpipe without exhaust ?
Your 2016 car has a 4" turbo outlet and 3" exhaust connection. You only get to remove the 3" bottleneck if you go with our catback too, but you can still use our DP with the factory exhaust as long as you order it with the 3" outlet flange. Even though you haven't increased the size of the exhaust after the catback connection, you will still see an improvement in performance because there is a larger unrestricted volume inside our downpipe. When you step on the throttle, the engine must create a pressure differential across the turbine wheel to spin up the turbo and make boost. By having a larger free flowing volume after the turbine wheel, the outlet pressure of the turbo is reduced, so the spool is improved. You can definitely feel, and hear, the difference.

Yes, you can expect no CEL. It's a possibility, but based on our thorough testing you should ever get a CEL.

Nope. We have not noticed any difference in smell from factory. That's the beauty of using a large 5" cat.

Should not drone with M Performance exhaust. Even when running our 3.5" VS-1 system with the DS-1, we don't notice any drone at all, so I'm sure you wouldn't with the M-Performance.

PM sent.

Sorry if this has been asked, if we go ahead and buy the down pipes now for the factory exhaust, if I decide down the road to install a new system that's not cg precision will it mate up with that system? Thanks!

Good question. Yes, if you order the DS-1 with the factory style connection, it will mate up with any system that uses the factory style downpipe connection. Most if not all other catback systems use the factory style connection.

To our knowledge, we are the only company offering the optional 3.5" connection.

Even if you did decide to go with our VS-1 or R-1 down the road, we provide an adapter that would mate our VS-1/R-1 to your DS-1 with the factory connection.

Thanks!
Jeff
