This is the start up. (engine was warm) -- I will make a new video with the cold start. So much louder

This is after installing the exhaust, the technician started the car right before I was able to start recording & focus. But here are a few revs.

I will post a better video soon!

It sounds ridiculous...mine comes in tomorrow afternoon so I will be taking the stock exhaust off tonight in prep for delivery. Can wait to wake up the neighbors.

Cold start is pretty loud but after 15-20 secs, it settles down.
My neighbor already complained about my exhaust, but he's complained about my stock exhaust before.

The cold start makes me giggle like a girl.

Exhaust sounds great when warmed up.

MPPK is the biggest scam of 2016, NA. Bought the car, hoping the MPPK would be available. But I am glad I went with the AWE instead.

Haha, nice. My neighbors are far enough away, don't need to worry about that. Waking up my sleeping children and alarming co-workers, that might be an issue.

Yeah I even got all these cosmetic M Performance accessories added to my build, thinking I'd be able to back it up once the MPPSK came out. BMW is making me look like a poser, pretty much forcing me to go aftermarket!

Here is a question for Mike or anyone else running one of these. How does the AWE interact with ASD and the sport/comfort switch? I understand that there's no valves on the AWE, but does the tone still change at all? Would seem like maybe the tone in the cockpit changes a bit, but the burbles are there all the time?

I noticed that there's definitely less burbles in comfort mode (with the AWE + midpipe) than there are in sport mode.

Sport mode burbles every time I let off the pedal. Comfort does it much less.

I've never noticed/heard the ASD in my 335i so I can't comment on that.

Is anyone running the AWE midpipe along with MPE ?

If so, care to share your thoughts? Is it basically just a resonator delete that that point?

Definitely more burples in sport mode.

You hear it in comfort mode but less significantly. Very noticeable though, compared to stock exhaust.

Regarding tone, it could be just me, but I definitely hear a difference with comfort & sport. Sounds so much more aggressive on sport.

ASD doesn't really interfere with the tone of the exhaust. I don't even really hear it cause the AWE exhaust +midpipe is decently loud in the cabin.

But I plan on disabling the ASD soon. My friend with his M235i coded his car and removed it. So he'll show me soon.

Honestly, I don't think there is going to be much of a difference in sound even after disabling the ASD. I'll let you know when I do it.
