Both External_Most are set to Active.
So I had previously done a HUD diy on this car and never updated the rain sensor to a HUD version, which is why my HUD brightness wasn't adjusting properly. I ordered a new rain sensor and will install it, which should eliminate that issue. I coded CAFD in DKombi with NAVI_NBT_ENABLE -> kein_nbt and now I have navigation on my HUD and if I turn off the HUD in idrive, then I have navi on the actual Kombi. The only issue is on the HUD, the navi tends to be cut off on the bottom. There are HUD_wrapping codes in the DKombi CAFD, however, I have no idea what needs to change in order to have the navi show up fully on the HUD. Regardless, it seems as if the DKombi is fully working, with the exception that I have the red tamper dot. The only think that seems odd is the ISTA errors which all relate to (kilometer reading/range), as if somehow it's being coded as if it's a EU car. I can go into idrive and change the units, however, that seems to point to the issue. Oh, and I still can't see the service intervals in the HU. If you or anyone knows how to adjust the HUD wrapping for navi, please let me know. Last edited by BMWFanaticRob; 05-29-2019 at 04:52 PM.. |

The problem with the HUD in combination with 6WB is known (see page 7 of this thread for pictures).
The HUD in combination with 6WB works only perfect for cars from 07/2017 upwards. You can try these different values: In Kombi: Navi_NBT_enable: NBT _Anzeige <--> kein NBT In HU_NBT: Kombi_Aufloesung: aktiv <--> nicht aktiv MFID_KOMBI_VARIANT: Aktiv <--> nicht aktiv HUD_Aufloesung: auflösung 1 <--> auflösung 2 HUD_Komprimierung_Art: rle1 <--> rle2 For the red dot i have no further idea. |

Hi....
On a preLCI F36 (built 10/2016), with 6WA, NBT Evo and HUD.... if I install the 'HUD 6WB Instrument Cluster' -62109442850-..... Will NAV directions be shown - like now (you select on iDrive settings if you want them to show on the Instrument Cluster little bottom screen OR on the HUD) ?? - or ONLY on the IC, or ONLY on the HUD?? - or ON BOTH simultaneously?? Thanks!! |

So it will the same as now with the 6WA.... that on the iDrive settings you select where you want the directions to be shownn the Cluster OR on the HUD. Correct? I remember that when the 6WB appeared on 2017 for the F3x.... some people said that if you installed the 6WB and had HUD on your car, you would stop being able to see the NAV directions on the HUD, and so they will only could be shown on the Cluster. Maybe this was because they retroffited the 'nonHUD' version of the 6WB.... and for the directions to be shown on the HUD you need to have the '6WB HUD' part? Thanks!! |

The problem with older cars before 2017 may be that the distance bar covers the speedometer or the navigation arrows are not displayed due to incorrect coding. |

I have a 340i LCI (build date 10/2018, NBTevo w/ID6) that I'm looking to swap out my 6WA with a 6WB.
From what I've been able to gather is that I'll need to code VO from 6WA to 6WB, and then DKOMBI will pop up and I'll code that and be all set? Sounds too easy. |

Thanks for the assistance!! My next task is sourcing the unit and then off to coding using what I learned here!

On a F36 build date 5/2017 that has NBT_EVO and 6WA, is it possible to do the necessary coding to swap to 6WB entirely from Bimmercode (expert mode or not)? Just curious as I don't have the full setup or any experience with E-SYS and my car technically supports 6WB as a factory option. Thanks!

You maybe could get it to work, but there will be some errors and the red manipulation dot, so i think. |

Here's an example from my car (built 07/2015 NBT_Evo ID4 + HUD): These are the coding differents from my car with 6WA and 6WB. Left=6WB Right=6WA in HU_NBT_Evo LOUPE_TACHO_KOMBI Left: aktiv (Active) = 01 Right: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 DRIVE_MODE_KOMBI Left: aktiv (Active) = 01 Right: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 ECO_INFO_DISPLAY Left: aktiv (Active) = 01 Right: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 HUD_KOMPRIMIERUNG_ART Left: rle_2 = 01 Right: rle_1 = 00 CALMING_KOMBI Left: aktiv (Active) = 01 Right: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 KOMBIGUIDING_SCHALTBAR Left: aktiv (Active) = 01 Right: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 KOMBI_CIC Left: kombi_mid = 01 Right: kombi_high = 00 KOMBI_AUFLOESUNG Left: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 Right: aktiv (Active) = 01 in Kombi navi_nbt_enable --> kein_nbt The most things will work immediately but some problems or missing features/settings you will notice later. |
