I've just had had this fitted remotely, it's such an improvement. Smoother and faster. Well worth doing.

Interested in this myself.
Who did it, what did it cost?
What do you need your end for it to be done remotely?

Check the gear change up points are optimal for the x30d first though I would

Look up Zed coding on Facebook he does it remotely. Really straight forward to do and he guides you though the process. He also give you a list of codes he can do for your vehicle.
Give him a try

After we were discussing this on another post a few weeks ago I took my car out for a blast. Even in Sport+ and M/S, i.e. Sport++, the 30d doesn't rev beyond about 4500rpm in auto mode. I think you mentioned the 35d revs to 4900.

The Alpina map may not be ideally suited to the 30d. A few hundred rpm could make the difference with the engine dropping back to just below the ideal shift points.

Yes the absolute highest I've ever seen my 330d rev to in auto with the stick in DS mode is 4600rpm (in certain gears it changes up earlier though), where the 35d can rev as high as 4900rpm in certain gears.

I did read somewhere that the Alpina flash makes the 35d change up a little earlier (which some people prefer), so it may well be ok on the 30d, it just depends if it revs beyond 4500/4600rpm in certain gears or not. If it hits 4700/4800rpm max then it's not ideal for the 30d as in my opinion anything above the stock max gear change points is too high for them and going out of the optimum power band.

330d changing from 4th>5th Sport+ and DS mode

It works better with a remap - the increased power band matches the shift up points- as per an Alpina which is basically a tunes up 335d engine.

Can improve the mpg as well.

Agree for the 35d ..

We need to know the max rev shift up points on the Alpina flash though before we can say the same about the 30d. The 30d power falls off a cliff after 4500/4600rpm even with a good remap unfortunately.

Don’t know the figures myself. If you give Rick at Unicorn he may well know the answer.

1.Make a copy of VO, SVT and ECU
2.Add to VO:

Production date 1211 or higher
Typeschlussel XA71 for F10 or 3E51 for F30
Factory ilevel 11-09-507 or higher
3. Follow "How to change FA" guide to modify and upload new FA
4.Follow "ECU flashing" guide and flash EGS
5.Then in TAL-PROCESSING:
Uncheck all
