I have the 8 Core Snapdragon 450 with MSM8953 Board. Will these firmwares work on my unit. My GUI looks like the legit pictured.

Only by the CPU we cant confirm/deny if it will fit, the System String has to be 100% identical.
So best is to show us a Image of your System Info Screen.
The normal KSW-Q image won`t fit for sure, For KSW-Q-S (Sd425) i do have 1.6.0 at http://bit.ly/ota-share

Thanks Kri! I have KSW-Q-Userdebug_OS_v2.7.0. This was the factory firmware that came with it. Do you know where I can find the firmware I need?

I didn't mean anything as the guide wasn't written by myself. The guide says to disable BT in Factory Settings (KSW/Chinese settings) first and then move to Android settings for next steps.

Thats a normal SD625 Headunit, you find all information and update links at page one of this thread

That's what I was hoping for. The seller had it listed as SD450. https://www.witson.com/displayproduc...67409508128064
He Also told me it doesn't have wireless Android auto and one day it started working. I learned I had to unpair my cars Bluetooth to make the wireless AA to work.

If you want to be sure you can check it with "Device info HW" from play store.
but when i look at their website it seems they have some kind of mess with their product data and images

HUAWEI startet developing a alternative to Android Auto which is calle HICar, it seems it will be implemented soon into our headunits.
There is already a new ID7 Based GUI where the Phone app has been replaced by HICAR Icon and lots of in-deph code changes to get fully support.
However the HICar app itself is still missing, so the GUI is not really usable at the moment.



A Feature has been added to change the "Apps" with larger tiles.
To activate this function the following Factory_config line has to be edited, this is not changeable at the GUI itself

A Info to the large app icons:
You can change Icon position via drag and drop, click and hold the icon and put it away immediately.
If you click too long the uninstall dialog will appear, so you need to be fast there


As those changes are not really usable at the moment, i don`t do a new factory_config.xml version yet, the 1.9.5 file does still work fine for normal usage.

<client>GS</client>
Should I change that line to <client>ALS_6208</client>?

For me it was worth upgrading. I was on v2.7.0 and went straight to 3.4.1. It went faster than I thought.

You do not have to reinstall your apps or redo your settings.

First post explains everything about factory_config.xlm and if you download one of these files it will have all options unlocked to so can copy that to your own file.

Thanks for the info, I was confused at first but now I have figured it out. Steps followed

1. Goto "Factory" settings by entering the password.
2. Uncheck the "BT" checkbox which is already checked (Your phone won't be paired anymore and can't make calls using the HU now)
3. Restart the HU
4. Right after restart, goto "Android Settings" and go to the Bluetooth section
5. There won't be any paired devices here if you haven't done this already. So use the "Search" option to search for "rec"
6. Click "File received by ...." in the search results and wait till the Bluetooth device appears.
7. When it does, click "pair device.." and pair the OBD adapter or any BT device as you would normally do on the phone.
8. Head back to the "Torque Pro" app and config the Bluetooth device there.
9. Viola, Torque, or any other app that uses Bluetooth will work, but you miss your phone calling feature.

For me, it was not important anyway as I'm pared to my car's original Bluetooth for callings.

Hi all, i don't know if this problem reported previously, i've search the forum without luck. I have an andream split unit SD625 4gb 64gb updated to v3.0.8 since last summer. Before few days the screen start to show some blue and red horizontal lines and after few minutes went completely black. I still hear the music from the radio and can change stations (blind). It appear also that there 7s backlight on the screen. I can tell this because when is dark i can see the backlight on the screen. Does anybody experience this issue and is there any fix? I don't thing is a software problem. Btw, i disconnected everything and reconnect it back but still the same. Also, both sides are black (idrive and android). Any help from anybody?

I'm afraid that your LCD panel is dead. It happened to few other users as well. If your seller can't supply you new one then there is nothing you can do apart from getting a new unit.
