Eibach Pro Kit for RWD vs XDRIVE

Hi all - currently have a 340i xdrive adaptive with Eibach kit (for xdrive).

Back sits nicely but front seems a bit too high.

I have seen several on here put the RWD version Eibach springs on the XDRIVE to get a bit lower.

Do you think it's possible for me to just swap the front springs? (both xdrive kit and rwd kit advertises 0.6 drop in the back)

Possibly the E10-20-031-05-22 kit and E10-20-031-02-22 kit uses the same springs in the rear?

did you follow instructions to cut the front bump stops for an inch or so, check the eibach kit instruction....

Also. Did someone tell you to use the dinan bumpstop kit or did you do that on your own. Thanks.

Instead of the Dinan bumpstop kit...perhaps look the F80 M3 bumpstops. These were suggested on another thread by some knowledgeable members johnung

Posted this in another thread but will post here too.

Seems the problem is that I in fact have the 06/22 kit (common in North America) not the 05/22 kit (common in Europe)

After doing a lot of research between the 05/22 and 06/22 Eibach kit, it appears the only difference is the front springs.

E10-20-031-05-22 kit spring part numbers -

Front - F11-20-030-03-VA
Rear - F11-20-031-03-HA

E10-20-031-06-22 kit spring part numbers -

Front - F11-20-031-06-VA
Rear - F11-20-031-03-HA

So it seems the difference between these 2 kits is wether or not you want a slightly lower front, which matches the rear; or the slightly higher front (some reverse rake).

I personally have the 06/22 kit and am wanting to swap the fronts to 05/22 as I don’t like the reverse rake.

Ride quality is perfect for a daily driven car, and no issues with the Dinan bump stops. I’m just not satisfied with the reverse rake look.

FYI- All Dinan is doing is reselling BMW bump stops made for other models and marking the price way up. It's a racket. That's why they won't allow returns. You could just read the part numbers off them and even order them from a BMW dealer. Dinan created a way for BMW dealer parts to be considered "inexpensive".

spooned_n55 is right...I too didn't want the reverse rake and did the same research and ended up with the 05-22 spring kit, but used the F80 M3 bump stops. The ride quality is good for a daily driver...this is how the car should have come from factory.

The 05-22 front springs are lower than the 06-22...but not so low as scrapping the factory chin spoiler while parking or with curbs

That looks absolutely perfect - nice and level. It's what I wish my 06-22 Eibach kit looked like at the front.

I think Eibach makes a great kit for a daily driven car. Very happy with my kit in every way - other than the reverse rake!

Can't wait to install this one.

Awesome, where did you buy the 05-22 kit? I'm looking to get out of some stiffer Bilstein coilovers at the moment.

Hey CntryClub007 ,

The only place I found was https://www.tunershop.com/

Springs feel tighter than factory...but not stiff at all.

Is there a functional reason for the reverse rake stance?

Does anyone have actual pictures of the 06-22 kit installed? is the gap in the front still that bad?

I ordered an 06-22 kit from tirerack a month or two ago and its just been sitting in my basement waiting for winter to be over. if the 05-22 kit fits and works fine, i might try to grab one and unload the kit i already purchased...
