I'm having a very serious issue with my 2013 335 Xdrive. It's either bad seals or bad turbo. The symptoms are extreme oil consumption. Yes, I know it's normal to add a quart or two every 1,000 to 5,000 miles. In my case every 60 to 100 miles. It's crazy! Have my car at the dealer for a 3rd or 4th time in the last 2 months.

Why would that be normal? I haven't added oil between changes in many years.

My phone (Motorola Droid 3, Android 2.3) connects to the car's bluetooth every time I get in the car. Everything seems to be working fine as I can make and receive calls (call quality is great!). However, if I'm on a long (5+ minutes) call, the car "drops" the call, which is still active on my phone. I can't seem to do anything to make the phone reconnect to the car. I tried disabling and enabling the bluetooth, didn't help. Reboot the phone, didn't help. Restart the car, bluetooth reconnects. Anyone seen something like that?
I did but not with my F30. It was with a Nissan Sentra. Do you have another phone you can try with?

Really, test drive the car, and even then, you don't know what you will be getting yourself into...
I have vibration at speed but only for my winter wheels. Summers? Totally solid. Winters have been balanced 3 times and I still get a vibration in the steering wheel. Need to find a place that does on car wheel balancing. I'm certain one wheel is screwed.

No worries. Most manufactures are dropping the CD player in the next few years anyway, right? I think Ford has completely dropped them.

The X5 has the same problem. Even adding a quart every 1-5k miles is too much. Every 100 miles, no way? It isn't an old Porche.

I'd agree with your assessment--seems like a blown seal . . . or faulty piston rings . . . ahhhhh . . . it's a lease car, right?

I had HPFP on my F30 335i M Sport package just one week after buying the car. The car is in the shop waiting for the part. this is a well known issue as I had heard from few other members in the same situation.

Do you know if this is a purely N55 issue or is it present on the N20 too?

This was a big problem with the N54 right after it was introduced and it took BMW quite a while to figure it out. It has never been a serious issue with the N55 and occurrences are very rare these days.

As I said on my original post the other members that I had heard from here, all have the 335 and 435 vehicles.

So far almost 2800 km / 1700 miles on my brand new 435 Gran Coupe X Drive after 3 full weeks of ownership.

No major issues thus far, however gas consumption is quite high imo.

City driving with a light foot I'm lucky to get 21 mpg.

Seriously, what better source is there? The only official one would be the JD Power reports which reinforce the results of this poll.
True Delta is decent.

9 months in, zero issues thus far.

The top column cowl has 2 locating cups on the underside that sit on top of 2 corresponding pegs on the wiper/indicator stalks unit. These were the source of the rattle, with the 2 rigid plastic surfaces not quite in tight contact (annoying). Again, I fixed this myself with 2 carefully placed circles of rubber acting as anti-vibration pads (something that should have been on from BMW in the first place IMHO).

I've got the steering column rattle also. Can you tell me how to remove the top column cowl?

1 year old F32 428i with 9000 miles
High speed vibration issue around 6000 miles, eventually fixed with a new prop shaft.
Bonnet dents and creases. Not sure how these happened, fixed using paint less dent removal.
Other minor issues include steering wheel badge peeling on the edges, drivers side windscreen wiper wacking the windscreen rubber on fast wipe.

vibrate seat while idle only, 1+ RPM will get rid of the vibration.

BMW dealer told me it is normal but I have test drive another F30 335i with zero vibration!!!

Just had the same "Drivetrain Malfunction" on mine last weekend. Dropping the car off to the dealer. Not happy at the moment. Car has only 2,800 miles...had to have it towed. Wouldnt even start.
