Well aside from the styling and steering/handling/chassis that entire car was garbage. Interior, CUE, residuals, reliability, etc. you name it. BMW still makes a great all-around car, but that emotional connection is mostly gone.

Because of all the mentions on the BMW Individual Merino Leather Interior, I will mention I have a complete BMW Individual F30 Interior Cashmere Merino Leather Interior (ZAKS) NOT DAKOTA that I have not listed from a BMW Trade Show/Photo Car VIN K415625 (903-Special Check Trade Fair/photo Vehicle erkontrolle Stand-/fotowage) imported from Europe with Fronts Seats/Rear Seats/Headrests/Doors Panels in same exact style as shown in these photos.

Purchased it for another retrofit but went in different direction after it took forever to arrive in USA.Had been in discussions to sell to another BMW Owner without listing it for sale, but given the comments above....$3500 OBO including complete Front and Rear seats as well as Door Panels etc.

FWIW, I priced just the Individual Leather Seats replacements PARTS and it was $15,000 at local Dealership not including Door Panels (again, this was just Merino Leather, not the complete Seats). With Braided Leather on Door Panels as well as Door arm rests, it would take it well over $20k.

The “Pleated” leather on the door panels and accented on Seats in German is called “Lederflechtstruktur” by the BMW Individual Department. In English they call it “embossed leather in braided optics”.

However, Google Translates “Leder” to “Leather” and “flechtstruktur” to “braided”, or “Braided Leather” which I think is more accurate translation.

HydesLeather in the PNW which sells High End Leather Hides for Automobiles calls it a Leather Weave.

Matches mine to a T but diff in colors. Don’t have interior but do have M Steering wheel which I really like. Not too big of a fan of alacantel soft feel. Although material probably lasts longer than the M leather steering wheel.

Never understood why they have different models for what is, functionally, the same car. If one looks better, why make the uglier version?

I like the 4 GC but went with the F30 because the 4 GC didn't offer a manual transmission. Otherwise yeah I think I'd have bought the 4 GC. Not unhappy with my choice, though.

I'm glad the fogs are gone. I found the fog lights on my E92 to be useless. I could not tell if they were on or off, I even changed the foglight bulbs. Now I haven't tried an F30 with fogs but ...I would be surprised if they made a difference given the car is already pretty low to the ground.
And a correction, the M Sport package - you get fogs. It's the addition of the Track Handling package that deletes them.

And if you want me to feel bad about killing deer, you're gonna need to impersonate Marisa Tomei.

That's surprise to see TBH. Planning to order the golden brown & thought the upper door trims would have the same napa leather as the dash. Can't see that in the build online. That's a disappointment.
