One Hot Wagon! F31 3 Series Touring M Sport Makes First Appearance
BIMMERPOST NEWS One Hot Wagon! F31 3 Series Touring M Sport Makes First Appearance Wagon fans should be smitten over this one. We've spied for the first time the F31 3 series touring in M Sport form, in the stunning Estoril Blue II color. The camouflage tape remains more a formality at this point since the F30 3 series sedan M Sport has already been revealed and the F31 touring will share the same front and rear bumpers/diffusers and sideskirts. What's missing from this test car are the M Sport wheels and brakes. The next 3 series touring / wagon is expected to make its debut at the AMI auto show in Leipzig in early June. The F31 has been confirmed to be making a return to the North American market. In an interview we had at the 2012 NAIAS with Paul Ferraiolo, Manager, Product Planning & Strategy of BMWNA, he confirmed to us that the next generation F31 3 series touring will once again make it stateside. When will it hit the States? In our interview from the 2012 NYIAS, we learned that the F31 will be available in the European market before it launches into North America. Only BMW knows how long the gap will be, but we don't expect it to be any longer than a few months. The F31 will launch to the European market in the Fall/Winter, so that will likely put the North American release at sometime during the first half of 2013. I wonder how they got some of these shots lol... It seems like the photographer got OUT of his car and walk around, just to take pictures

I was unsure about my future with BMW after my lease expires but ... The F31 is looking pretty good ... I might consider it (if I don't find a low mileage CPO e91 6MT)

To: BMW NA, Marketing and Product Development
From: The North American Car Enthusiast Dad Please, please, bring this over in 335i xDrive trim. I know you love to offer the wagons in NA with only the lowest spec engine, but there are quite a few of us who would love a wagon in top spec. You would have the sport wagon market all to yourself, as all the other manufacturers have also given up on it. Family men (and women) who like to drive don't want a high-riding crossover, we want the sleeper speed wagon. And while we have your attention, please import the 550i xDrive Touring as well. I will buy that one tomorrow. Also, please kill the 550i GT. It is the epitome of "so close, and yet so far." That thing is hideous and not what we want. |
