Which is a proof that 3 series and 4 series will look significantly different from each other.

I dont know why people judge these cars in camo stage lol. As we've seen previously, the camo'd out car never represents the production form. BMW has been impressing me with the recent lineup. Im sure this wont be a let down!

Bring on the F86!

I'm suspecting bad things when the price gets announced, though :/

Quick, we're already at the second page! Someone ask about why the headlights/tail lights are so ugly and funky.

There won't be both an M4 coupe and M3 coupe. The 3 Series coupe will now be called the "4 Series," so the M3 coupe will now be called the "M4."

The only reason this doesn't happen is if the BMW board decides to break with its naming convention and make an surprising exception in naming the upcoming F82 as the M3 coupe (instead of "M4").
I wouldn't be surprised did this, even if it does break their naming convention. The M3 label carries a lot of cache to throw away (or reduce to just the F80, anyway).

there's gonna be a "2 series" four door, 3 series, 4 series GC, 5 series, 6 series GC, and a 7 series.

why?

Doesn't look terribly appealing in this guise, but I can use my imagination. I could believe that an ///M version (F86?) could debut in 2015 or early 2016 after the F82 ///M4 coupe. It could also incorporate any LCI changes that the F3x series should get around that time. Also, a MY2016 M-version could be a good excuse to update front/rear LEDs, something that could be shared with the M4 coupe. Kind of like how the E92/E93s got better headlights than the sedans in the last few years of their life.
yeah, I was really wanting the 6er GC, but its just way too big for my needs and my driving style, so I have some faith that as they'll be using the 3er Li platform for the 4er GC, it will have a bit more room in the rear for the occasional use needs, but still retain the swooping roofline that I enjoy. I think that the camo doesnt show much other than directional, and we can imagine how the design language will be brought forth as we see more and more of the F32 over the coming months, we'll basically have a long version with 4 doors and that sounds like a winning combo..And as you said, timing should work out that it start around the timing of an LCI and would make sense the M version would make it out in the next 3 years, have LEDs up front, and be in pefect time for me as I exit my F30

Don't forget about the X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, and X6. Not to mention the 1 series as well as 1-series 4-door "Compactive Sport Tourer".

And the i3 and i7, too!

It's all about the Benjamins, baby.

All these new models are interesting. I'm surprised there's enough of a market to consume all these new models (possible 7 series gran coupe, 3 series gran coupe, 6 series gran coupe, etc.)

I would hope the F82, and possible F86(?) could get an optional full LED headlights like what is available on the LCI F01 7er. Or some variation on that theme.

Not sure if the F36 would use the long-wheel base chassis? That would be too long for my needs.

And the F80 spy shots just look so damn good.... and I'm not sure I'll prefer the upcoming M-version of the F06 vs. the F10M. The "standard" sedan proportions of the F10/F30 just look near perfect to me. The Gran Coupes take a bit of time to wrap my brain around.

UPDATE: So sorry folks, we don't mean to cry wolf, but upon closer inspection we believe that this prototype is actually the 3 Series GT.

With some of its rear camouflage removed, it revealed a sleeker hind roofline and rear, which gave it the appearance of a fastback/coupe-sedan, which we mistook for the 4 Series Gran Coupe. We apologize for the mistake.

The silver lining is that the 3 Series GT is looking sleeker/sportier than ever.

i really meant 4 door "sedans." too many

but as far as the X's - i don't think they should have that many either

D'oh! Well, it did look a bit tall for a GC. But definitely better proportions than earlier spyhots, so maybe the GT will turn out looking respectable.

The Four Series, two and four door, has to be the longest roll-out in the history of automobiles... seems we've been looking at camo photos of the cars driven in and around Munich plus spec-illustrations for over a year. I swear there must be production models sitting in a warehouse, ready for delivery, somewhere in Bavaria.

Ah, this makes much more sense as a 3GT than the gran coupe. If it followed the lines of the 6GC, it wouldn't have the rear quarter window and glass aft of the rear door pillar. As the 3GT, it does look better than some of the other renders, IMO.

Ha! It did seem a bit early to start seeing the F36 driving around.

If this is the F34, then I'm impressed by how sleek it looks, especially compared to earlier spy shots. That bodes really well for how sleek the the F36 will be.
