Sorry but this is as bad as the 5GT especially with that little vent on the fender/side. Probably be a good seller over in EU but not going to see much here. I've probably only seen 2 5GT since it was released here and one of them was at the dealer...can't see how and why the 3GT would be any better.

Not ugly as a 5GT, but still pretty ugly.

That side fender vent thingy which is on the 4 series as well looks like...

I hope it's removable...or something.

Also, it doesn't look like it has the retractable spoiler seen in some spy pics, I guess it's on the 3series GC and not the GT??

The thingy underneath the front fenders aka "inverted 7" is so way off. It does not flow with the car. *Yuck. Vomit*.

BMW should've stuck with vented fenders close to the top of the fender. They are trying to create something that "might" work aesthetically, but unfortunately it doesn't.

Well, BMW meant this to be a people carrier so the design speaks for itself.
Those fat rear quarters are really going to please its intended buyers, that is those who loves rear seat space more than fighter jet cockpit style front seats.

I guess it was too far in the development phase when BMW realized the 5er GT was a failure. The 3er GT is doomed to be a failure as well. I am not sure who the target buyer for the car is and it appears the market is still looking for it.

I sure hope it looks better in person

I don't know what some of you are looking at but that is one ugly POS. Sorry BMW, but when it comes to wagons, Audi has got your number. On the other hand, that Merc is nice

Didn't Scott say that the 3GT was supposed to be sleeker than the 5GT? WTF was he smoking?

Yes, if they sell it here sales will not be great.

But my gut tells me the target is Europe and I think there it will do better as wagon buyers will want something sportier without losing roof height/space as they will with the 4GC.

As for looks- blows away the 5GT and you whiners can always paint the side vent.........
