Sad to see what the 3-Series brand has become or is becoming...
It's easier for Audi to build a wagon because of their design. If you look at Mercedes and BMW designs, they heavily incorporate strong lines and curves on their bodies vs Audi where it's usually flat looking from the side and then plain front and rear in terms of shape. well. it looks better than some of the previous renders. thing is the m-sport version looks nice. the side vents are a bit ridiculous honestly. i guess it goes down to color. some might argue it's a touring gone wrong and big :/

Definitely agree this car doesn't look good. I'm just glad BMW is giving us a wagon variant too. If this car took the place of the wagon, I would be pissed as I think the new 3 looks best as a wagon.

...I have little doubt this was never built or designed to be a hit in the USA... Europe and China want this I imagine. 5GT's are a rare sighting in NNJ / NYC area

The front of the car is ugly, the side view is more than disgusting.
Without the BMW badge.... (at least the 1er looks beautiful now, in comparison; even the X3 looks better as a consequence). |

They (a production company) use that Benz to shoot all kinds of car commercials. It's an ML55 with a jib type camera mounted on the roof. I worked on a Subaru (Tribeca) commercial where they used that ML. The car is all matte black-not for style- but so it doesn't throw a glare when they shoot with it. It's also easier to "erase" in post if it gets caught in a shot by another camera.
Back on topic.... I HATE the 3 GT. That is all. |

BMW needs to stop making these moronic decisions and get back to building good cars. Instead wasting more time and effort on needless models and trying to cover every niche, they ought to focus on fixing the way their current crop of cars drive and feel. The competition has caught up in terms of driving dynamics, and in some cases already passed them. Instead of trying to get back ahead, we get a 3 series GT.
Are there really that many people who feel that neither the F31 wagon nor the X3 fit their needs, and this just hits the spot perfectly? |

The 3GT is pure beauty for me. Love the front and back end ... Just right and much better then already cool 5GT! Nice.
And there is mistake in your first post Jason. The wheels on M-Sport are not 18" double-spoke style 397 but they are most likely 18" or 19" M-Sport version for 3GT. Check the emblem on them + they have different design then style 397 noticed on first glance. On 5th picture you can see M emblem on both front and back wheels Second thing that is new is M emblem above the side vents that F30 and F31 does not have. I like it a lot, hope interior changes from F30 and F31 and its winner... if it gets also electronic parking brake and led front / back side turn signals then its pure perfection. Hopefully next car if pricing will be right on F31 spot which I highly doubt ...

Nice motah. Could be my next car as long as it doesn't come with that ridiculous plastic bit glued to the side
