Changing default Edrive modes on 330e
Hi guys,
My 330e always starts up on Max edrive mode, is there a way to code the default edrive mode to something else? Like Auto edrive or Save battery? Thanks |

Mine always starts in Auto eDrive mode as all 330e should. Not sure why yours starts up that way.
To answer your question though, I'm not sure as I haven't dabbled in coding myself. |

As the post above mentioned, it should be possible to code via ICMQL or BDC. |

If you want to change the drive mode at startup you need to change ICM/IcmKod_B_InitEco (The vehicle will start in drive mode Eco Pro every startup). Last edited by tiq80; 11-22-2021 at 08:05 AM.. |

I do have E-Sys, but my SVT doesnt have ICMQL or BDC, I only have ICM don't know if that makes any difference. In ICM there is a line for IcmKod_B_InitEco and mine is set to nicht_verbaut [00]. Mine starts in Max Edrive everytime and I really want to change it to Auto Edrive everytime I start. Auto Edrive and in Comfort mode |

When IcmKod_B_InitEco is set to 00 (nicht verbaut), the default mode should be Comfort (at least for regular - non 'e' cars).
Maybe in your case it is set to 01, and that is why it is starting in Max eDrive mode. |

Isn’t Icmkod_B_InitEco for the drive modes only ie. eco pro, comfort and sports and not the edrive modes? |

In newer cars there is a option to choose max eDrive (1:14). If I looked in my car's HU with esys I saw things like Battery Control etc. I could have the max eDrive picture but I could not make the change. I could not make the tick in the box. This was: HU_NBT2/3000 HMI/EV_CONF_STARTUP_MODE. This activates the MMI checkbox for Max-eDrive as startup mode. Maybe this will work in your car but on my car this did't work.

Mine is a 2017 330e. On older models, you aren't allowed to configure the e-drive settings. I don't know what yr they started allowing it. Only coding engine you can do with Bimmercode and Carly on startup is changing if it starts in ecopro, comfort, sport, sport plus. If you want it to start up in another edrive other than "auto", you need to take it to the dealer so they can code it with their high end equip.
