New speakers, now leakage :(

Changed my doorspeakers recently from Base to aftermarket Focal speakers.

Used spacers for extra clearance and added rubber isolation, but still waters/moist comes through.

What do you advice for extra isolation?

If the water you speak of is definitely coming from between the door & spacers - put some sort of gasket between the spacer and door

Like foam tape with adhesive one side, or strip caulk

BTW, if you have the base or HiFi audio system - throwing only hi end speakers at it won't make the sound much better...

Thanks! I already added a rubber tape between the door and spacer...but no foam tape or something between the spacer and speaker.

Will do that this weekend.

I keep wondering why it's even possible that the backside of the speaker can get wet

Only way is if your door window felts along top edge of door are leaking

Manufacturers usually prepare for this to happen - that's why there are little holes along the bottom of your door to allow any water that gets in to drain

Water seeps past the window seals into the door. It's normal. That's why the door is sealed to prevent water from going into the door liner, and why there are drainage holes in the bottom of the door.
