2015 F32

I love this car. Almost 2 years in. Thought I'd finally post a picture or two somewhere. I drove from LA to Fountain Hill, AZ. Wonderful drive. Bought it as a CPO and added in house warranty.

Notable fun drives in the first two years:

LA to Seattle
Seattle to LA

LA to SF 3x

LA to Tempe 4x

Never a single problem.

The only thing I've done is regular service.

Couldn't be happier.

Sounds like many fun miles have been enjoyed in the first two years of ownership. Congrats on the purchase and thanks for sharing it with us.

After all this time spent in quarantine and not being able to drive the BMW as much it was nice to get in a long drive to the country yesterday. Nice getting on a pretty empty thruway and getting on it in sport/sport II mode. Before I realize it I'm passing people at 100+ MPH.

The one downside of long road trips in the summertime, all the dead splatted bugs on the front of the car and windshield. Ceramic coating works nice but I think I need something for that 😂

I live in the country, and dd my A4 to work, which is in the city. I love my drive everyday, and I keep a spray bottle mixed with Optimum no rinse and water. I give it a quick wipe after work every day with the rag company microfibres.

Both my cars have XPEL and ceramic and that helps a lot. What sucks on the 340i is all the bugs which end up inside the grill, but since I only drive it on the weekends, I carefully flush them out in a process spanning an hour

Yeah when I got to where we were going yesterday I cleaned all of the bugs off. Then when we got home I spent about an hour cleaning all the bugs off of it and the windshield. I got a lot in my grill as well

I'm new to a lot of the ceramic sprays and cleaners. What is Optimim and XPEL? It sounds like I need to buy some of these products. Right now I've been using Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. I have a lot of microfiber towels and just ordered more.

XPEL is a PPF film. Helps protect from rock chips and other stuff. You need a good professional who can properly apply it. Both my cars have it on full hood, bumper, headlights, side mirrors, front fenders and A pillars. You can also just get the hood and bumper covered for basic protection.

Optimum no rinse is a product made by the makers of ceramic coating Opticoat Pro. It basically helps when doing rinseless washes and I am a huge fan of the product. I use it for my bucket washes and also keep a spray bottle in the car with a couple quality microfibres.

I feel a little extra care goes a long way in keeping the cars looking good as new.

Thanks. I looked into the XPEL film and there's actually a place near me that does it. Certified installers. The optimum spray I just found on Amazon so I'm gonna order some of it. Thanks for the info though.

I'm usually ocd with my cars and agree a little bit of care keeps them looking as good as possible.

2 coats of collinite 845 with 24hr in between coats. This was after clay and correction with M205 and an orange LCC pad.
