MPPSK - Sport Displays

Read the entirety of the MPPSK Official Release thread in the main forum and can't seem to find a definitive answer. There are some saying that after fitting the MPPSK, the Sport Displays for max power & torque don't change, but I have also seen comments in other threads that say they do. Typically 240kW/480Nm before and 320kW/560Nm after, and that changed dials are a sign of a successful update, suggesting that if your dials don't change, the re-tune hasn't been applied.

Which is it? (My feeling is, if the max values on the Sport Displays don't change, there's a problem?)

Many thanks.

Interesting that someone in the US thread says his displays haven't changed but he can feel the difference in the power/torque curves. Maybe it's the placebo effect of the sound.

They CHANGE.
If they dont change they've not coded the remap properly.

When I had my MPPSK fitted the torque upper limit figure increased from 480nm to 560nm. The Power figure or the look of the dials didn’t change though. The power figure limit is at 400 PS.

Yeah, afraid the only two pics I could find were of slightly different versions of iDrive.

I can also confirm that they change to 400PS / 560 Nm
It is also described in the product brochure:
"- The performance at a glance: The sport display in the iDrive
monitor is adapted to higher performance and the higher
torque. A clear competitive advantage for BMW."

Nevertheless I suspect that the iDrive SW is separate from the ECU SW leaving a (remote) possibility that the iDrive may be updated, but the ECU not.

Yes, they do change.

Got my 440i GC back from Crewe and can confirm that the Sport Display does change to reflect the new output.

Cheers

And here the comparison

Note: ignore the different styling, that's not due to the MPPSK.
