I have a 435d and do the same....

I want 300+bhp for the rare occasion i want to overtake/ sprinted drive.... but for tottling along i want decent economy.

The most useful feature of eco-pro is that it seams to let an auto car coast for quite a long way.

19mpg around Bristol today. Am I doing this right?

Missed the car for a couple of weeks so no eco-pro today...sport everywhere.

On-topic, I've never seen more than 10-15 miles even on tanks where I have used a lot of eco-pro.

I'm beginning to wonder if my car is giving a false reading lol.
I've just filled the car again, sticking it into eco pro and driving normal with no coasting or attempt at economic driving other than being in this mode.
Car is still on the full line and I've got it to 12.8 so far miles on a mix of 30 & 60 zones.
When you get to let's say +80 miles and the car has 80 miles of fuel left it starts to drop as this is you now using the +miles of fuel.
19 happy mpg I bet!

I used to use Eco Pro 95% of the time but I have stopped using it now. It got me into near-trouble a number of times when I needed that quick instant power at roundbouts, switching lanes, overtaking and junctions (which it wouldn't deliver). I always keep it at comfort now and instantly tap up to Sport mode if i need that extra instant power to make a manoeuvre. Eco Pro is only good when going downhill as it goes to neutral and helps save petrol.

I've saved 63km on a tank once while averaging 0,42 (58mpg) in a F31 320d. It took a lot of effort not to make any mistakes for a whole week in rush hour traffic to work. 80% highway 20% slow city traffic jam. I cant image how you did +130 miles (210km) in eco pro.

Eco Pro used around 70%. Sport the rest as the roads up north were stunning.

2013 420D. Recent trip to Scotland and back 700 miles done. 37 remaining from £68 diesel. Overall average was 62.2 on the trip.

I got mine to +300 after a track day. I think it must work on the average on the previous 50 miles or so, track day I was getting 12mpg . Better than my Lancer Evo that did 6!!!

The most enjoyable 6mpg you'll get! Had a couple of Evo's myself and they guzzle the fuel when you push them but there's not much touches them when driven right!
+300 holy fcuk!
Yeah I think it must be in relation to your last tank or whatever.
I know everyone on here is always saying how they hate it and drive in sport+ everywhere they go but I can't see how it's possible to be going flat out everywhere on our roads in the UK.... Must be some heavy brake use to go with it

I don't like eco poo mode Personally, but I only use Sport+ occasionally. I drive mainly in comfort mode, my car is very responsive and goes well in this mode and I can just knock the stick left into DS if I need it to liven up even more.

I do like a bit of sport mode with the stick to the left myself but it tends to only be occasionally and usually if I see someone appearing from behind looking like they want to try and pass me

Same for me .. I find for most journeys comfort mode has the right balance of performance and economy. Some say the throttle isn't always responsive enough in comfort mode but luckily it's very responsive in my car, so I don't need to go to sport mode too often.

That's not quite correct...

The absolute best feature is that you can turn it off

I've gotten 100ish on mine, but that was mostly boring motorway driving with cruise control on

My car's pre-LCI so I don't have the benefit of coasting in eco pro, sure I could save a fair bit more if I had that. I mostly use eco pro to offset the times my foot's flat to the floor, it can drink a fair bit since the remap (I think the lowest I've seen was 15mpg on the idrive trip computer)

Got 42mpg average on a trip from Bolton to Carden Park in eco pro. Otherwise I average 28 on my daily commute to and from Manchester. Normally drive in comfort unless taking advantage of being at the front in the traffic light Grand Prix. Eco pro will probably save me a bob or two on our France/Italy road trip next year. Will probably cover around 3000 miles
I forgot to add, mines a 440i cab
