New wheels & stock tires fitment question

Hey guys,

I got new wheels with the following specs and wondering if my stock 19" tires are a good fit.

My F33 is currently on OEM 19" option with M pack blue brakes

Front 19x8 ET36 - 225/40/19
Back 19x8.5 ET47 - 255/35/19

New wheels are,
Front 19x8.5 ET35
Back 19x9.5 ET40

Thanks !

good is subjective. your old tires fit however they will be stretched slightly, moreso in front.

The stock 225s are already stretched a bit on 8" rim. Gonna be worse on 8.5 but technically still fits. I just put 235's on my 8" fronts and it looks a lot better. *edit: I did 245/40/18 in the front. Kept 255/40/18 in the rear for a difference of 0.25" smaller in the front. I'm not x-drive so I didn't worry about the mismatch.

rim Min Ideal Max

8,0 215 225 or 235 245
8,5 225 235 or 245 255
9,0 235 245 or 255 265
9,5 245 255 or 265 275

Great , Thanks for your quick answers!

I will change the front ones to 235/40/19 and keep the rear at 255/35/19.

Do i need any spacers for this new setup?

You can reuse the OEM tire you have until your ready to put new one...

As everyone said it's going to look stretched and you will have no rim (wheel) protection from scraping. So be careful when parking.

you cannot only change the front tire size. if you run 235/40/19 up front, you will need 265/35/19 rear to satisfy front and rear diameter difference for the x-drive transfer case.

spacer not necessary

Yup good catch, I'm not xdrive so I don't need to match.

Here's a cheat sheet
what do they say, within 1% for x drive tire diameter?

stock rear 255 0.4 18 4.016 26.03
revised fr 245 0.4 18 3.858 25.72
stock front 225 0.4 19 3.543 26.09
stock rear 255 0.35 19 3.514 26.03
sample 235 0.4 19 3.701 26.40
