The noted drivetrain whine, an OEM Bilstein strut for the front-left (not related to the accident; nor involving myself), and some wear on the lower front control arms.

The previous buyer believed the Bilstein strut eliminated Adaptive Suspension, therefore rendering the car without THP, but Bilstein is a compatible OEM brand and retains all properties of a factory Sachs strut. Common knowledge, or so one would assume...
As for the control arms, the "wear" shown on them is simply due to how vehicles are transported in/out/around auction sites. They're lifted on massive forklift loaders, with the entire underbody (including control arms) resting on these exposed metal arms. Transported in a way that does not damage the underbody, but often leaves traces of scratches. The buyer was from out of state, so he had no way to confirm this, fair point.

Whether the points he brought up were negotiating tactics, or he genuinely felt concern, I can't diagnose.
I'm completely transparent, so anyone interested in the results of the PPI, old auction photos, or even maintenance records, feel free to ask

Other F3x track handling on here are at 60k miles and around $25k, and 40k miles (with things like Apex Wheels and MPPSK) and at $29k.

Anything starting with a 2 for a rebuilt title here is too much.

You seem to be selective about the comparison you make.

Regardless, thank you for your input

Haha, I definetly am but hey - we’re all crazy about cars.
I’ve been 50/50 in threads and there’s multiple cars I’ve said are fairly priced and multiple ones I’ve said that aren’t.

No, fair point. I'm on the "higher end" of what one might expect for a salvage title for three reasons.

1. The highly-desirable 513M wheels
2. The specs (THP, stick, packages)
3. The value its given me. The value of a clean title, Stage 1 '17 440i manual that would be worth in the low-30's were it not salvage with a buzzy drivetrain.

I have my dealer's license, specializing in retail salvage sales, as a side-hustle. Personal experience & industry consensus of salvage is 70-80% the value of a comparable clean title.

Say this were clean title, listed at $32k, then 75% of that would come out to 24k.
The wheels add ~2.3k in value, and any perceived defects would be used as negotiate bait.
That's why I have it listed for what its currently at, with ample room for negotiation.

Cheers!
