Its on the passenger side, right below windshield. When you pop the hood remove the piece of plastic below the windshield then down in there is a plastic grate that is the air intake. Unfortunately its hard to reach because its partially blocked but you can still usually vacuum it out and reach it with aerosol spray (with fan on high of course). If you are going to do the spray, you have to remove your filter first and close back up the filter holder, otherwise all your spray will just hit the filter and never reach the evap

Are you sure it's not a scented interior spray that the detailer used, like Chemical Guys? I spray that on the carpet in the foot well, right on the firewall, so the scent is moved around as soon as the interior fan starts blowing. Well, at least it doesn't smells like poop, so that's one thing less to worry about. |

It will definitely get less over time.
I use a leather scented spray from Chemical Guys, and although it doesn't smell like real leather, I like it as it makes the car smell new (that's what passengers tell me). It does slowly disappear after a while. |
