Clearing codes with ISTA??

Is it possible to just connect an F30 to ISTA via ENET cable and clear engine codes or reset service intervals or do you need to buy an ICOM scanner?

If possible, how can I go about doing it and resetting or changing service intervals?

ENet cable works fine. I've not done the service intervals but you can clear codes.

I would advise you go through the diagnostics though and not just blindly clear error codes. The software is very helpful there.

Pretty sure you need a link to BMW AG in order to update the sevice history in ISTA+

ENET works fine. You only need ICOM to program. Some service intervals you can reset with instrument cluster hidden menu.

Yeah it?s my rear brake pads. The pads are perfectly fine and don?t need to be replaced. I tried to reset it from the CBS. It says reset possible, but when I proceed the reset is always unsuccessful. I made sure that the hand break was disengaged and my foot was not even near the brake pedal. The only other recommendation I could find was replacing the sensor but the rear seems like you have to do an excessive amount of work to replace the sensor. I was hoping I could just just hook up with ISTA+ and reset the intervals from there too get rid of the service reminder.

Hi. Can you give a short description on how you did the service interval in ISTA? I cannot find it.
