Automatic Transmission Oil Leak

Gents

While installing DV+, FMIC and Charge Pipe a few days ago, I recognized that some oil is leaking in the torque converter housing.
I'm pretty sure it is transmission oil not engine oil (by the smell and because I did not have to refill engine oil since the last oil change a few thousend miles ago).

It was quite juicy around the rubber cap under the housing.
It looks to me, like it could be a problem with the front o-rings of the transmission (V or Y on this pic).

Is there any way to check the transmission oil level by board computer or physically? I assume on the above link screw plug "3" could be the refill and oil level plug? Am I right?

Car has 55'000 Kilometer / 34'000 miles on. Is this a known problem?
Just would like to know better before heading to the dealer.

Thanks

I believe the only way to check the level is the "finger method". Yup! #3 is the winner!

The downside is that it is a fairly involved method on how to check the transmission oil level - very temperature specific.

I had a similar issue and it ended up being the transmission cooler lines leaking at the fittings. Fixed under warranty.
