I wouldnít buy one in that colour but I like it especially with that colour interior, looks pretty good.

we had a brown hyundai (Arabian Mocca or something like that) - most people had the same reaction until they saw it in the flesh - especially the sunlight and the flakes just shone out.

if yours is anything like that, it'll be gorgeous!

Have you seen the base Velar Chris. They would need to pay you 343 per month to drive it.

A few options would help but then gets pricey.

A friend of mine has recently bought a Mitsubishi ASX 4 petrol (2WD) in the same colour brown and it looks really good. The spec of the car is amazing with full length panoramic glass roof , 19” alloys, leather interior, apple carplay, rear camera etc all as standard and all for £17k brand new OTR after a £3k scrappage allowance for the part exchange.

Nice choice.

Having just spent the last two weeks dealing with Kia 'customer services' and its completely hollow 7 year warranty be glad you didn't buy the sportage. It seems that despite a 7 year warranty if you don't report something quick enough and if they can't determine how something has failed then it isn't covered.

Its an absolute crapshoot, whereas their service is just absolute crap.

Skoda is on the list for the next 'dog van' now!

Cheers, i been driving it now more and cant believe we didnt get an SUV earlier, so practical and easy to drive.

I did test drive Kadjar, Qashqai and Sportage which i thought was 'OK' - didn't rate interior design but 7 year warranty is their key selling point, think based on feedback Kia are reliable cars.

In the end i went back to something German and Karoq was the best all rounder.

I think that looks really good, the wheels make it IMO, I bet it would look pony on smaller wheels.

Will be changing out Qashqai at end of the year, so the Skoda is one to consider though I really fancy one of the new Volvo offerings.
Had a go in new X3 which is very very nice but it's plenty £££

yes, the wheels do make it look more stylish and the LED's too but generally its a blunt design - expected from VW group brand. We didnt buy for looks but needed a swiz army knife and just made extra effort to dress it up into posher looking knife? (i don't really know much about knife brands and categories).

I do like BMW X1 and X3 and we probably could of lived with X1 but as you say its very costly.

Skoda offer alternative alloys under accessories, its beyond my understanding as to why you can't pick these as part of the configurator so people will actually spec them and buy them.

So, you started this thread asking the forum advice on what compact SUV to buy......and you ended up in a brown Skoda. Definitely a forum fail.
