I've had two of them and neither had any documentation.
I just held it against the front end, used shipping tape to hold in place... and drilled holes into the bumper to line up with the mounting holes in the splitter.

Used Youtube to brief me on the install.

Do the center two first using factory holes the work your way out with self tapping. It really could not be easier.

Do you have any recommended vendors to purchase one in the US?

Horn High Aces ... I've bought by front splitters from...

1. Bayson R - out of San Jose California. They sell on eBay or directly.
2. Ikon Motorsports out of Los Angeles, CA. They sell on eBay or directly.

I went with them basically because their prices were pretty cheap and shipping was pretty quick.

The units I got from them were identical.

A few installation tips:
1. Be mentally prepared to drill your front bumper. So you will need a drill (cordless is good) and a set of drill bits.

2. DO NOT USE the self taping screws that come with the lip. You WILL hit things. Hit something hard enough and the lip WILL rip right off the car. So... instead of screws I used an 8mm hex head bolt, small washer, large washer, and an 8mm self locking nylon nut. You will need about 1 dozen of these. Some guys on this board have used locking/unlocking rivets, cool to do that too.

3. PUT into your mind, the splitter might break. Even at stock ride height, the splitter WILL hit parking blocks, curbs, and grind on driveways. Just feel good you didn't buy the OEM BMW Carbon Fiber unit for $$$$ and your replica was only $140 and free shipping.

Thanks for the pointers on the installation. It appears the previous owner used the front bumper as a parking block finder so I'm not too worried about drilling into it if I can cover up most of the damage.

I'm looking at getting the M performance style rear diffuser from Ikon so I'll hit them up.
