Favourite licence plate frame

Hello all,

Just picked up a 2018 330i xDrive and I'm looking to do some minor cosmetic mods to get the ball rolling on this thing. It's black exterior, with black interior with red trim.

I'm looking to install new licence plate frames and I'm wondering if people have some brand recommendations or precautions. Thinking about carbon fibre frames as I may do some carbon fibre in the interior.

Let me know your thoughts and recommendations. Thanks!

I've got some invisble frames, so nothing needs to match :-)

I got carbon fiber. It matches my rear lip spoiler.

Interesting enough the plate that came with the car is black metal and just says BMW on it so it works for me.

Unfortunately mine came with a rather unsightly dealership frame which I'd rather swap out.

I prefer the plain black slim line frames from BMW. You might find similar cheaper. They also offer a real hand-finished carbon fiber one:

I think no frame looks the best. As long as your license plate is clean and new. Just my preference, though. My wife uses those thin BMW frames and those look pretty clean as well.

I'd match the frame to your trim. If you have gloss black (M Sport), then I'd go with a gloss black frame. If you have matte black (sport line) go with matte black. If you have chrome trim (luxury), go with brushed aluminum or chrome.

I like the ones that say either:

"I'd rather be driving"
"Honk if your horn is broken"
"I found him. I have Jesus in the trunk"

I have these. They're OK. Hopefully it doesn't peel / separate like some of the reviews. It's mostly garage kept, so I'm not too worried.

I'm frameless. Nothing beats frameless.

Sorry, I don't have pics of my old 340i. Numbers painted over, but you get the idea:

All,

Pls get rid of the Dealership frames.
If the dealer wants you to advertise for them, ask them to pay you for the service.
