Remapped 435d owners

Do owners of mapped 435d get smoke when remapped upon heavy acceleration?

I get little of smoke when initially booted it.

Cheers

Standard practice for a tuned diesel.

I was told dpf should catch it all, but if owners of f series diesels remapped are telling me that's the case fair enough.

Sorry for the late reply, I think it enhances the car greatly. 0-60, pre remap, used to be fairly impressive due to the traction of X drive and then it went a bit flat, just for context my previous car was an RS4 so most things do feel flat! Post remap the car continues to pull really hard above 80 and well beyond. I recently played with an M4 and expected him to pull away quite noticeably but that wasn't the case. No drop off in fuel consumption or usability just plenty of umph when you want it. Superchips, in my experience, don't overstate the numbers they achieve and always deliver a usable result. I even trusted them with our Evoque for a week so they could use it to develop the remap they now sell.

Yip there a bit of smoke from my mapped 435d but not a great deal, take a look at a vid I put up on you tube when I was in the 1/4mile against my sons Golf R ink it's called 435d v Golf R, you can see how much smoke it omits on full pelt downing a 12.37 run.

Interesting, Superchips were one of the first to get into the remap business but for some reason they're often overlooked (or at least other companies seem to get mentioned more frequently). However, their remap for the F3x 335d appears to be competitive in terms of power and torque (circa 370bhp and 700Nm respectively), comes with a warranty and is "only" £399 fitted; worthy of consideration I'd have thought?

Thanks do you have the YouTube link?

Who was it mapped by?

Is it remapped or tuning box?

The DPFs are around 99.5% efficient at catching the soot. The EU6 calibration norm is no visible smoke on acceleration. Not noticed any puffs of smoke on my remapped 335d.

Ye it's smokes a little on full acceleration with the foot planted but not anything that concerns me, it's not black smoke just light grey as can be seen in the vid.

581 lbs/ft and I haven't had any issues with the gearbox thus far at the end of the day your only using the full torque if your going flat out and usually up an incline so it's not seeing full torque many times with me.

I have a f32 435d msport, i have a stage one by superchips,
When its a hot day like 20 degres c and upwards and i give the car some pain, the big turbo will stop working, however when its below 15 degrees i can give it pain for 45 minutes with no issue at all???
No codes at all
Runs perfect, just big turbo stops working if you give it some hammer in the warm, obvious thing to say is dont give it hammer when its hot but we all do on a nice sunny day dont we.
I have changed fuel filter, put a k an n air filter on recently too and hasnt made a difference

That sounds a bit worrying. Had mine done by Unicorn no such issues. Might need a bigger intercooler perhaps ??

If the turbo stops working at any temperature that we have, there is a big problem that needs sorting asap...
