Hello All
Sorry complete newbie here looking for some guidance.

I successfully load E-sys software, connected to the car ok and created the CAFD files ( a copy of which I have safely backed up). Then disconnected with out making any changes.
I have been browsing the files offline and getting to grips with the general layout and procedure for coding, so decided to start with an easy one Turn off radio and Navigation when drivers door opened.
Connected to car ok made changes saved and coded as per instructions, no errors but didn't work. started again viewed the relevant cafd file and the changes hadn't been coded tried again same result.

Re-read the coding guide and I noticed in one version it said after reading and activating FA to Read(ECU) and in another it said to Read SVT(…
I had been reading ECU so tried SVT(… made changes coded FDL this time I had a coding error.
Everything seems to be working on the car but now I cant reconnect the connect vin option is greyed out and NO ZGW available.
E-sys version 3.28.1build 46869 Psdz 5.02.00 not sure if these are the latest. That's what came on a disk with the cable

Read ECU or Read SVT does not make a difference for coding. On newer cars, Read SVT will not work, so you must use Read ECU.

If car won't connect anymore, let it go to sleep, wait one hour, and try again.

Unless you have a Missing CAFD error reading an ECU, you do not need new software.

That is configured through IDrive. If you do not have Drive mode option, then see pop_and_config on F3x sheet.

SLI requires FSC code.

Thank you for the advice, successful with the coding today in various ECUs except I cant read coding data in the Fem_Body cadf file, returns the following error:-

Transaktions-Report: Aktion: Codierdaten lesen

FEM_BODY [40] [ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ]
readCPS o.k.
CAFD_FFFFFFFF_255_255_255 Fehler:
File for "cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255" not found! [C012]

Is that the error that requires updated software or have I managed to corrupt something.
