Help: Transmission Temperature warning on stop/start after flashing gearbox
I did a software update flash on an auto box on a 2013 model 320i. The update was to v59.1 psdzdata. I then coded the sport auto parameters and launch control via FDL coding.
Now, whenever the car switches off via the stop/start system, I get an error on the iDrive saying "Transmission temperature - risk of transmission overheating". If I don't use the stop/start or manually just switch car off and on again the error doesn't appear. Any ideas what might cause this? I also updated the prerequisite modules on the TAL list, including the FEM_BODY, FEM_GW. |

So I VO coded everything back to defaults (without adding 2TB), and the car was still throwing an error on stop-start. This means that my coding was not an issue but rather the gearbox flash. I suspect it is because there is some clash between the software on 13-03-503 and 16-07-502, when you update the box alone.
I then updated the entire car to 16-07-502 and the error went away, so it is now sorted. I am therefore not sure between which modules specifically the clash existed. |

I found the Issue results from a conflict in I levels between the one I was flashing to the gearbox was not compatible with other interfacing modules (not sure which ones). I resolved the issue by updating all my modules to the same I level
