You are just getting the original speed that is in the map before the road work speed limit is posted. |

I just drove a 440i today, built in 08 2016. This car has SLI displaying on dash and hud. I was told by the sales that new model now has the front camera scanning road speed sign now.

So what? Thats the purpose of the SA reading all kind of traffic signs with the kamera. Thats not a sensation but a very useful add on to the car.

My brother installed this PnP SLI (Chinaclone) in his 2017 F80 M3 and it just do not work. VO coded 8TH into KOMBI and HU_NBT2 to no avail -no dim circle at HUD, nothing at KOMBI is showing. Both displays were selected in the iDrive display, so coding was taken by the HU_NBT2, not sure of the KOMBI.
Is the circle supposed to show immediately (at HUD or intrument panel) after coding or the car must go to sleep first? |

Also you need to enable it in the center console screen under what should be displayed when in the HUD menu. It should be a check box. Then when the sli unit is plugged in the red circle shows up. With the speed limit if you are on a road that has a speed limit and is on the map as a road that has traffic map on it. |

Thanks... we figured it out: PSdZData was old. Updated it and then KOMBI got the coding. Strange as HU_NBT2 got the coding the first time.
Quite simple install after the snafu... thanks to all contributions in this thread. Quote:

I got mine working successfully. As others have noted, the speed limit information displayed on KOMBI is the ECE white/red circle with kilometers per hour but correctly matches my local miles per hour.
For those of us in the U.S., if we could only figure out a way to display it in MPH...? |

Interested as well. Will this work with US vehicles?
Edit: Did not read the post above me before I posted LOL

The seller on eBay responded that he couldn't get it to work on a CIC. Any reason why that would be the case? Has anyone with a CIC and the extended cluster get this to work on their vehicle?

You have to order this item into the correct setting for your country.
If you're not buying the part which is discussed at the beginning of this thread, I have no clue if there are jumpers to change the settings or not. I had NBT and extended cluster, was no problem. CIC I got no idea, sorry.

Great thread - I’ve just ordered the emulator linked on the top of page 6.
Has anyone managed to figure out how to get the signage display in the cluster to show as MPH instead of KPH? Andy |

Second: If you consider to install a SLI-emulator you'll have to mention your desired country before ordering, that the jumpers are correct set. Hence the SLI-emulator holds no translator or other kind of transducer, a conversion of the units are impossible. As far as I know the Chinese clone are not be able to differ between metric and non-metric values. So maybe a few bucks more to spend for a proper emulator would be desireable? Thats one of the "features" if you're gonna buy an item maybe at first look more cheaper than the rest. I have no further words, man
