Why does the GT's front fascia look better than the regular 3er? At times I keep asking, why didn't they put that to the base 3er?

good point, i think the f30s looked ugly... it's just either that people have no choice and "good lease options".

Taller, longer, bigger and 250+ lb heavier than my f30. Hmmm ... decisions, decisions. Voice in head: But then again, it has those bastardized M badges ... Those a rare ... That's got to be worth something ... surely, BMW wouldn't just slap them on just any car, with no actual significance. I mean come on, even the side vents are functional! Hmm ... got me thinking again.

GT looks nice but 3 touring is better driving experience imo.

You're probably right about that, but the touring really doesn't carry that much stuff. The GT appears to have much more cargo space. All in all, the GT probably makes sense for people like me who don't really want to drive a SUV but who need to haul stuff now and then.

Or have kids/carseats and can really use the extra 3"of rear legroom.

Man, they just barely missed it on that back end. It's almost a really cool car. But not quite.

And, after restraining myself for months, I'm finally going to agree that the air breather things look stupid. I get that they are functional. They should be body colored and not stand out so much.

Yeah, but I wonder if they're black because they attract brake dust.

Yes, her production date is 03/03/2003, so she did just celebrate her 10th birthday, thank you...

Does your random statement about my car's age have any relevance on this topic?

I'm with you on this. Folks want the SUV-ish driving position, space and room but want the sedan driving dynamics/MPG. I've had the 528 Touring in the past but didn't like the lack of leg room in the rear seats.

I love how the car can still be thrown around on the curves, despite the higher seating position and stance.
