X1/X3/X5 key fob used on F30?

Does anyone know of the fobs from an X series would work on an F30?

I've always found the F30 key fob to be disappointing in look & feel. Audi/VW and even Honda keys feel to be better quality.

With comfort access,the FOB never leaves my pocket. I don’t care what it looks like.

Not directly no, the board itself inside isn't compatible. But there are aftermarket retrofits.

It only ever comes out of my pocket to lock and unlock, don’t have ca, so the look and feel for me is just momentary.

Well, then you would still like the new fob. It's not as bulky.

Thanks for that. I'll have to look into that but at this point they are not compatible without some fine electronics work.
