Spotify and iDrive

So I have bought an iPhone 5s for Spotify integration with my 14' 335i. My car has the navigation and Bluetooth option. When I plug in the iPhone into the USB in the armrest, I get the music playing, but I do not have playlists or any songs I've downloaded in the search. I am running old iOS. I also don't get the app integration on iDrive.

How do I fix this?

I don't think Spotify plays well with older iDrive...I have similar issues in my '14 335i where my HUD displays the same thing "Spotify" instead of track names when I stream from my phone via Bluetooth. I think you have to pay for the connecteddrive app integration from the iDrive store if you want to connect via USB. Apple Music seems to work much better even though I don't use it

U need bmw apps for full Spotify integration 6NR.

Is that an option I just call up my local BMW dealer and ask for it?

I don't think bmw will sell it separate. U can get the fsc from ppl on this forum for a few hundred I believe. Contact Shawnsheridan

I have the "app integration" but it doesn't work half the time using audible or amazon.
