VRSF chargepipe review
Reviewing the revised version of the N20 VRSF chargepipe:
Pros: - Cost effective - Solid fitment (They guarantee the fitment) - Decent quality Cons: - No instructions Side note: I somehow managed to get the pipe installed without even lifting the car. I do have skinny long arms, so that really helped and removing my cold air intake. Installation was about 30 minutes. Recommended tools: Hook pick (To carefully remove the o-rings), a ratchet w/ a long socket 10mm (to ensure the coupler is nice and tight, torx bit (to remove the MAF), an allen key set (to tighten the plugs on the top half of the pipe, if you don't intend using them and to tighten the new bolts to re-install the MAF.) A pry tool to remove the bottom clips of the CP, don't worry if they break, you don't need them. Also remember to install the o-rings to both ends and double check all the connections. Overall, I'd say since they have revised their product, it's pretty good for the price point. I wish they offered more colors. I almost bought the FTP set, but the only failing point is the throttle body side, so I didn't see much point in spending extra for the other pipe. My next mod with be a catch can, having trouble deciding on the BMS one or the Mishimoto. I'd really like to dyno my car, but idk where to get it done in NJ. |
