Which charge pipe to get - VSFR or EW?

Hello,
Total noob here about to start modding my 435

I've already gotten the Dinan exhaust, and I was going to go full Dinan until I read there are way better options... i have to be careful though becuase I have warranty until 12/2020

I want to start out by getting a charge pipe and BM3.
Then slowly adding more pieces.

I was looking at chargepipe prices on x-ph and noticed that the EW pipe is considerably more expensive than the VSFR pipe.

I also read there shouldn't be any performance differences between any aftermarket pipes.

Which should I go with? What am I getting with the increased price on the EW pipe?

Thanks in advance

As soon as you install BM3... your warranty is void.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way:

All hollow pipes are hollow pipes. Period.

You want to make sure it is going to fit properly!

There are more choices than the two you listed. Keep searching and reading reviews. The answer is out there!

yes, while we're all one big happy family, you'll get better response on N55 engine modifications, here... https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=421

it's true, for charge pipes, no performance difference, but between your two choices, i'd get ER as it's much higher quality.

another brand to consider is FTP Motorsport out of Taiwan. they make products for F3/4 as well as other series. I have it myself on my N20.

Thanks for the response, and I will post in the CORRECT forum this time...

and I know BM3 voids the warranty so I will just remove it before going to the dealership

Be careful assuming they won't know. Word has it that as soon as you flash, they can tell. And there's no way to undo it.

If you're not 100% ready to void your warranty I would shy away from a flash tune and maybe stick to a piggyback? Those can be removed cleanly if I'm not mistaken.

Nothing can be removed cleanly unfortunately. If the dealer really wants to know if it's been tuned, they can pull data files that will show the car was running extra boost or timing etc. whether a piggyback or a flash.

Thanks for the warranty advice guys.

If both JB4 and BM3 can be detected in the event of an expensive warranty claim, I think I should just go with the best one if I was to get a tune.
From the reading I've done, that seems to be BM3.

You can use a DINANTRONICS Sport Performance Tuner for N20/N26 and N55 Engines (BMW 'F' Series) piggyback.

There will be no trace other then it looking like you have a lead foot.

I think that's the right idea BM3 is great.

I ran Dinan sport for a while, it was great, but unfortunately that's not true. See above posts.
