Engine With Hesitation At Low Rpm
My car has been updated by the local dealer here at BA, Argentina to the i level F20 18-07-531 from 15-11-505.
After this upgrade the engine is hesitating at low rpm ( between 1000 and 1500 rpm ) as well as not having the same response it used to have with the previous i level. Looks like the performance has been reduced, like if the car were running very lean, with not enough fuel. There are no codes showed at ista D, no misfires, no nothing indicating a fault. Is anybody aware of issues at DME with this i level? Car is BMW F30 330 LCI Sport Line 8AT, year model 2016. Thanks for your help PS: am planning to come back to the dealer, but before listening " everything is normal" I wanted to have your opinion / feedback. |

I have a similar problem,, it's been hesitant at idle ,, don't know why,, I suspected the fuel as some stations have bad tanks that can affect their stored fuel,, but it's been my second refill now and still hesitant,,, I have used stp injector cleaner (the large black bottle) BEFORE it started hesitation, but ,, as far as I know,, I let couldn't lead to such thing ,, so ?!!
I'm only 51 thousand kilometers |

my problem was related to a new programing to the car. However, your case could be related to bad quality fuel. Some times the cleaners, like the one you used, remove the dirt from the tank or even from the injectors and if those particles remain at the injectors, this can cause your symptoms. I would recomend to change the gas station where you are filling your tank and see what happens. Also try to use the vehicule at full gas for a couple of miles in sport mode to see if the dirt can be removed and "digested" by the enginee itself. |

If your fuel quality is bad, there you have one reason to suspect. One excelent injector cleaner is Liquy Moly. It is used in race vehicles. One bottle in one tank should solve your problem. Use the vehicle at full gas ( be careful where you test your car ).
