MPPSK Exhaust Valve Modes?
As we know, with the MPPSK for the 340i, there are two exhaust valves that open and close during use.
Can anyone confirm the conditions in which the valves open and close? Do both open and close together (either passing through or bypassing the muffler entirely)... or do they open separately? Are they always open in Sport+... do they open under high RPM conditions in Comfort? I'm curious if anyone has this documented. Thanks!

Both valves operate together, either both open or both closed.
It's stated that in comfort valves will open over 4000 rpm, I've never confirmed this because I never run in comfort. Both valves are always open in Sport or Sport+ with the possible exception of the first minute or so after engine start when both valves will close. If the car is shut off with valves open they will remain open until engine start, when they will close.

It has already been said but to sum up:
Comfort: both open above 4000rpm, closed below Sport / Sport+: Permanently open It is the exact same control logic that applies to a stock (non-MPPSK) variants, just in this case the valves are two, instead of one.

Yes - disconnect the valves while open.
But why....!? Whenever you want them open - press the magic button. Never understood why people want to voluntarily loose flexibility.
