Being a past Bmw tech I could tell ya that the n54 and n55 are fantastic engines. I'm not sure the b58 is better, time will tell but it definitely has some advantages like a closed deck design and higher compression being the main differences. High compression and boost is very good combo for us the consumer especially since we all love power.

And there is always something better around the corner that is true with every manufacturer. I think we should be happy that they are still over engineering cars that we can squeeze so much out of them with minimal mods.
And the fact that we can lease a 60k vehicles for nothing a month is a cherry on top.......but I'm sure some will find something to complain about.

Looking forward to getting my B58... may not be that big a jump from the 335 but it'll be a helluva better motor than my pre LCI 320d!!!
