Intake will effect very little in smoothness, that's the last thing I'd be worried about. It's a no brained if you want more intake noise.
To other comments, MPPK 'gun shots' come mostly from software, and mid-pipe rework, not muffler. |

I've had the BMS intake now for almost a month and it sounds nice but don't hear it much because of the exhaust. It's really only noticeable to me in 3rd gear and up. I love the pops from the exhaust but it doesn't last long enough. As everyone with mppk knows it takes about 60 secs from start up for the Valves to open up. Then its 5-6 mins of pure bliss from the exhaust in sport or sport + mode. Unfortunately the sound becomes very subdued and much quieter after that. I want a Catless Downpipe so i can have that sound 100% of the time. Then switch to comfort when i want to relax.

What's up just curious if you put the bms intake on? Have you had an issues or just positive results, loving the MPPK so far and was considering this next.

The motor is a closed deck block with a larger turbo then a N55 platform. There are many cars with JB4, intake, downpipes, exhaust and meth injection making 450 horsepower at the wheels and there hasn't been one that has resulted in any damage. You would hear a lot about it if one failed. The fact that the N55 handles 450-500whp and doesn't have much reported breakage or problems definitely makes the B58 with it's better bottom end and block when talking about reliability. BMS, DINAN and other tuners have not even touched the potential of these motors because they haven't been able to figure out how to control the fueling on the B58 DME. Once someone cracks that, you will see 80-100 hp increases with just a simple tune. |

F80 suffers from traction issues, if it could put the power down, the chassis itself can handle the power without issue. |

Check out Nitto drag radial N555 (more street if you live where the weather changes). If you live in a dry hot climate the Nitto NT05R is pretty much a street legal slick with grooves in it. |

Wanted to BUMP this. It's been some time now since b58 has been around and want to see if anybody with MPPK has installed Catless DP and Jb4. There's got to be somebody out there that has.

Thinking about either the BMS intake or Dinan midpipes for next mod. Currently JB4 with Dinan Free flow exhaust. For sound and performance which is the most bang for the buck?
