Not an MPE - MPPSK.
Believe it or not it got done in 10-15 min per hand didn‘t even need the polishing machine.

Installed the Masata Charge Pipe & Turbo Inlet pipe (sorry for the dirty engine in the photo

Was a seriously tight squeeze getting the charge pipe on with o-ring. Turbo inlet wouldn't fit with o-ring & seems to have some play in fitment, but no issues with leaks so I guess all ok...

Also, "today I was years old" when I find out you can use [insert phone of choice] assistant by pressing & holding the talk button on steering wheel! Amazing! Definitely reduces need to upgrade the ID4, happy days.

1. VRSF catless downpipe install
2. Quick engine bay detail
3. Installed new cup holder center console because the chrome surrounding it was damaged & coupe replacement has a much better cigarette 12v placement. One that comes standard in the GC has the cigarette 12v right in between the two cup holders, so stupid

Nice, but why? Unless you need some additional ports? Is there any advantage?

The new turbo inlet doesn't have any muffler housing bits, which should increase airflow. The charge pipe for reassurance that it won't crack under higher boost (with a remap). I'm sure the plastic one would be fine, but I don't want to take any risks

Installed BMW F-Series Functional M1/M2 Buttons - Kit from MN laser cutting.
No longer need to look down and search for Driving Mode switch.
Took under an hour to install with battery disconnect and removal of driver air bag.
I had the buttons from other source, so I've only purchased the wiring kit.

Nice 👍 but also, look down and search for driving mode switch?

Yes. The kit includes a new pc board to replace the existing board and the new board has all additional LEDs mounted. Additionally, the new board is manufactured by the same company as the original board.

Only thing I don't like about my mode buttons are the back-lite labeling M2/M1. Makes sense on an M car because they are customizable but doesn't represent the functionality the way it should on our cars. Perhaps an M with an up arrow above and a M with a down arrow below it would make sense.

Totally agree. I'm looking into custom labeled buttons that would make more sense for the function (not like in M car).

Doesn't M in these instances reference "mode" for driving mode?

it specifically refers to "M Mode", with the 1 and 2 representing pre-set M Mode 1 and M Mode 2. So there's a few sins here for us F30 guys, first off we shouldn't have any sort of "M" mode, that's a feature BMW made for M cars only. The second inaccuracy is really about the fact that it labels mode 1 and mode 2, the buttons should jump to 2 preset modes but for us the function of the buttons is to scroll up and down in your driving mode menu. Even if you keep the M and classify it as "Mode" you'd still want an up arrow and a down arrow instead of a 1 and a 2 as the icon. I personally just want the buttons with up and down arrows, no different than how the driver switch looks on the center console. I do love this mod because the steering wheel looks cooler/sportier with those buttons colored and I find the ability to go into sport mode directly from steering wheel quite functional and useful.

A simple back-lite ▲▼ would work for me.

Thanks for the clarification! I had an M4 and didn't know that. I programmed them but seldom used them. Always seemed to drive it in the default mode anyway. Sometimes I miss it, but it really was too much for a DD, not to mention maintenance.
