I will discuss this matter with our local dealer and figure out possible solutions for this issue. In the past few moths, I informed the parts manager about the heterogeneity between the US version #340 and the EU version #339. However, he claimed that middle east countries can only receive the EU version. Anyhow, I will visit the dealer this week hopefully and find out whether they can order for the US version or not at no any extra charge.

Why don't you guy's just have BMW modify the exhaust on their account?
They can't just show press video's off one xorst and sell another. All of you who are to buy the MPE shoul order from a US dealer. Buy a bunch to limit the freight expenses. /Krelle |

After having the MPPK installed and in search of the next mod I've read this entire thread and listened to all the sound files but 339 or 340 they all sound to me like a couple of soda cans with a case of delirium tremens.
You want a car that sounds like a real car then buy a V8 M3 E93 before they all disappear. |

BMW has not recommended our local dealer to make any modification for the muffler. Therefore, the local dealer is not in the position to take any further step on their own risk.

When the car is stationary, the exhaust sounds good when I rev up to 3000 rpm, beyond this speed the sporty sound fades. In addition to this, when accelerating the car and taking it into motion there is almost no sporty impressive sound, baring in mind that the car in is in sport mode, not comfort. That's the main concern.

I heard so many 340 that I'm sure that the difference, even in acceleration, with the 339 is absolutely remarkable
