Feeler: Brand New H&r Spring For Xdrive

I am thinking not to install the H&R sport springs that I bought for my 335xdrive. It is still brand new in box. I bought it from Tirerack for $247+shipping and taxes.
If you are local in Vancouver and are interested, shoot me an offer. If price is right I will let it go.

Why are you holding out on installing them? I've installed them on my x-drive and love it.

Just the Sports ...and yes it's an xDrive. Put them on two hours after I picked up the car so I probably won't even need an alignment since bushings won't have had time to settle to stock set up.

i used to drive a 335 rwd with spring and shock combo, so i am not too sure if i will like the ride with just spring. How's the ride like? especially when on rough road surfaces?

Why don't you get some shocks to go with the H&R Sports? Or are you holding out for coilovers?

Do it once do it right if you are worried. Get shocks or a set of coils.

Vancouver doesn't have to contend with the same roads as most of canada. Not ravaged by pot holes. Just ride height and wavy side roads around Fraser and 16th.

Bimmersport in Mississauga. After doing some research, these guys seemed to get the best reviews. They were professional, courteous and got the job done in the time they said they would. I really dislike it when a shop tells you it will take 2 hours to do something and 4 hours later you are still waiting for your car. These guys only work on BMW as far as I know, I didn't see any other cars in the shop. The other thing I liked was that while I was waiting for my car I overheard an exchange with another customer who had brought in an older 5 series. There was a lot of issues with the car, but the biggest one was an issue in the block which would have been thousands to fix and the owner of the shop just told the guy to sell/dump the car rather than fixing it as it would not be worth it. I like that he didn't try to gouge the guy and give him some story about how the car would be better than new after they fixed it.

I thought the Bilstein B8's were out for our cars? Read they're excellent with the H&R Sports.

I'm very tempted to get some H&R Sports and B8's... I have GroundControl "perches" on Koni Yellows in my other car and love it, but I've never adjusted the height after I set it for the first time, and I've only adjusted the damping a couple times when I first got them...so I'm not sure if it's "worth it" for me to go with something like a KW V1 set-up. Not sure about quality of BC Coils (once they're available), or the "lesser KW" ST's... thoughts?? (Sorry for jacking thread.)

Bilstein does make shocks for Xdrive models? if thats the case i would buy that for sure. I used to have Bilstein shocks and h&r springs on my e92 and i love it, if i could do that again would be perfect.
Do you have any confrimed source for that?

Thanks for reply Man. So can you also tell me what was the price they charged you? and How long time did the installation take?

Thanks a lot.

If you have not done your spring yet, you can call this shop too. Here is the review written by one Audi blogger

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...g-in-Toronto-A

very near to my office and I pass by there on occasion.
