2017 f31 oem LED headlight to Xenon??
Hi All, ths may sound like a crazy plan but I'm on the verge of selling my recently purchased 2017 F31 335d xdrive due to the poor light output from the non adaptive oem LED headlights.
I've come from an old E46 with bi-xenon running TRS clear lenses and Osram D2S bulbs that blew the LED headlights out of the water with regards to light output, width, colour, distance etc. 90% of my driving at night due to work so light output is hugely important to me. I've been reading up the adaptive retrofit but looking at costs to gains it's not really worth it, has anyone retrofitted Xenon into a car that had LED from the factory?? Is it possible to code it in or code out any checks so I dont get dash warning lights. I've done full on projector retrofits in E30/46's before with Morimoto mini D2S 5.0 projectors so not scared of geting the dremmel out on the headlights It's the coding side that has me concerned as it's LCI. Any input would be appreciated Charlie Last edited by charlE30; 01-12-2022 at 12:31 PM.. |

This is a really basic (and possibly stupid) question:
Have you checked your headlight alignment? I felt similarly until I checked the height and alignment, and they were WAY dipped down, so i manually adjusted, double checked, and now they're great.
