Got around to lowering the car last week. I have never driven a stock height car around for so long. Three and a half months is a new record for me, especially since I had a new set of springs on hand even before I took delivery of the car.
Obviously, the car's stance looks much better but I really appreciate how well the adaptive dampeners pair with the springs in terms of overall dampening, ride quality and responsiveness. To me, it rides and handles better than stock which felt floaty. I think I'll stick with the 405M's for a couple more weeks before switching to a set of BBS LMR's I've had sitting around for a couple of months. I'm liking this rim / calliper combo since it gives my 2nd F31 a bit of a different persona as compared to my original 2014 F31 build. Last edited by F31MSport; 06-19-2019 at 10:19 AM.. |

Out with the 405M's and in with the LMR's again. Same but different than before. Still not used to the diamond black faces... what do you guys think?

Just some thoughts having come home after my first long'ish drive with the family on 19" non-run flat MPS4S Vs the OEM 20" Pirellis RFT. The MPS4S are much quieter, stickier and compliant than the Pirelli's.
I swear the car accelerates better with the BBS / MPS4S setup. Even when I was lugging the 405M's out of the car into the basement, I could tell that they were heavier than the BBS LMR wheels I had lugged up from the basement a few hours before. Nothing against the 405M's as I think they are a very very good OEM rim and tire combo. Especially since they are forged and relatively light. I also think they look really good and suit the F3X platform perfectly... now the question is to keep them or let them go??? |

Sometimes you park the car and you just have to turn around and snap a pic cause it's that perfect light when the sun is setting.

Back to winter-mode ☹️... figured a Halloween themed picture was merited. Calipers appear to be pumpkin orange.
New set of Nokian Hakka R3 Runflats for the season. Already better than my previous set of Nokian R2 non-runflats which had supper soft sidewalls and kept rolling over the sidewalls whenever I pushed it in the corners. |

Thanks, isn't awesome to be able to get everything from amazing MPG when cruising on the motorway/highway to getting really-good MPG even when you flog the living hell out of it .

Ordered a set of Black Line taillights from Abdul at M Power Motorsports almost a month ago https://mpowermotorsports.org/produc...1-63212450110/. Eager to see how these turn out on the F31.

F31 Black Line Tail Lights - 63-21-2-450-110
Thanks to Abdul from https://mpowermotorsports.org for the taillights. The Black Lines happen to match the Diamond Black metallic faces of the BBS LM-R's perfectly.
I think the tail lights look similar to the G20/21 generation tail lights. Perhaps that's true of most of the MPerformance parts. They seem to bridge the gap between the generations of our cars. Last edited by F31MSport; 04-13-2022 at 06:43 PM.. |

Probably the last pic of the season before winter mode. Record breaking temp and lots of sunshine helped extend the season up here in the GTA.
