To be fair the magnification has always been active since I installed the 6WB. I just was hoping it could be configurable on the iDrive.

In my car it is configurable on the iDrive.
But i didn't code with Bimmercode.
Unfortunately, I don't know why that doesn't work for you.

Thanks. I updated from HeadUnit from ID4 to an ID6/CarPlay and my Navi guidance on cluster stopped working. I simply applied this change and it works now. Strange.

Hello everyone,
I have a 2017 440Xi and I had retrofit the 6WB cluster around 3 months ago, suddenly one day my service got reset and it was telling me that I have to do the oil change, and soon after that dealership called me to book me in for service because they got a call from the car that it needs service and I told them what happened and they had to reset the service. Yesterday the same thing happened and now they say we have to do diagnostics which you know it will cost a lot and I know it's because of the cluster because every time this happens, first cluster goes blank for a few seconds after I start the car. I am not sure if it's because of any mistake that I did during coding or not. If anybody can help I would appreciate it a lot.

Install ISTA D and read error. I think it is not because of cluster some sensor is problem. Friend of me had same problem with oil service and he need to replace this sensor but I can`t rember which one

Im working on adding a brand new 6WB to my 2016 F36. It originally had a 6WB and the NBT EVO HU. I have the VO coding doc thats floating around and have used it successfully to do a couple of retrofits.

Now, I got all the way to the coding part. The VO order has been updated and saved, the production date has been set to 0317. I started with coding the HU and it completed successfully however now the HU screen says "No Signal" in a pretty shade of red. I am not able to read either the VCM or ECU for DKOMBI despite it appearing and looking like it should be fine.

Any ideas? Im in a bit over my head at this point and would love to have someone remote code it.

Hi everyone, i'm just installed used and virginized 6wb in my 2011 F07 (5 GT), added a cafd and coded with FA with 6WB, and everything is ok expect it doesn't get the mileage from my car, just started to count kilometers from 0, I have already covered 70 kilometers and it shows 000070. Did anyone have such a problem?

I'm not able to find an answer to my question:
I would retrofit 6WB in my f31 from 07/14 so I know that I have to edit the production date in FA (only the one to code in Kombi and HU) with a different prodution date.
My question is: I don't think my car has been updated from the factory so Can I use latest CAFD only for HU and Kombi and leave the rest of the Car at the original I-Step?
I know it isn't the best way but I will update the rest of the car in a second time.

I want to know if i want to retrofit a virginized 6wb, do i need to find a used 6wb that has lower odometer than my car? Cause i read that if the 6wb has a higher odometer than my car then my car will sync to that higher odo, but it wasn’t clear if this is still applicable to the virginized 6wb. Or it doesn’t matter since it’s going to be virginized?

Also, any other things i need to be aware of when buying a used 6wb?

the odometer will follow the highest one.
Virginized only meant to clear the registered VIN in the used 6wb, not to clear the odometer.

Hi. Finally i succeed to bypass the sensor on 6WB so now it is has good brigntness all time.

Bimmercode expert Mode search for DIM_DTN and change the value to 0X7F

Also i succeed to have the magnification option on idrive
Expert Mode again search for these :
MFID_KOMBI_VARIANT activ
LOUPE_TACHO_KOMBI activ
DRIVE_MODE_KOMBI activ

Virginized exactly means that ODO and old VINs are cleared. not only VIN.

Just bought a 420i with the 6wb dash. I coded it last night to show the digital speed above the needle but can you also have it down the bottom middle of the dash to access when using the stalk button? Forgive my terminology, I’m a noob. Thanks

what equipment do you have? you have to remove old VINs and mileage from 35160WT chip, if mileage in cluster is lower than your actual you can leave it as it is, but VINs are a must.
