Hello, I'm interested in performing the M3 LCA swap but I've read that it mainly has 2 issues. I was wondering if anybody that's made the switch could comment further. First, I read that the wheel would be pushed forward and no longer be centered inside the wheel well. However, my understanding is that this can be addressed with M3 tension struts. Does anybody have the part number for those struts? Second, did adding the extra negative camber negatively affect the tire wear?

If the part numbers for all parts required can be provided by anyone that's performed the full retrofit, that would be great. Thank you!

My understanding is adding the tension strut doesn’t change the caster angle back to stock. The wheel will still sit forward. But it has enough effect to prevent the rubbing some were experiencing with their wheel/tire set ups.

Any additional camber will change tire wear. Why are you wanting to run more camber, and how much are
You targeting?

One other consideration has been the tie rod ends will need to be threaded pretty far out to accommodate the change and have reasonable toe-in.

Have you considered camber bushings instead?

I'm just interested in increased steering feel. Figured swapping out the control arms would be an easy retrofit.

Anybody with the complete set up have any input?

Doing M3 control arms on an F30 is not the way to go. (Can only do it on RWD anyway. It breaks driveshafts on XDrive) Much better results by swapping stock arms for the Monoballs below. Do upper/thrust arms first if funds are limited, but do upper and lower if you can afford it.

It's a noticeable improvement in steering precision and steering feel. Easily one of the Top5 mods that I've done on my car.

Ride quality is excellent. No added Noise Vibration Harshness. Instead the driver gets some added road feel to his hands through the steering wheel. Exactly as a sports sedan should be. No more of that sloppy vague steering feel of the F30.

What I can tell you is that all monoballs are not equal. It's not a generic off the shelf part that all manufacturers are using. Some are much better than others.

The one that I am using and recommending is custom designed and manufactured to a fraction of a thousandth of an inch. I had the opportunity to actually see mine being made on a $500k CNC before they were installed on my car.

I have an xDrive and I decided to add the lower Monoball control arms for even greater control and precision to the upper Monoball control that I installed first. The Turner monoball in the link that you sent is limited. It doesn't even fit an XDrive and doesn't appear to have matching lower control arms.
