Tips for installing deck lid spoiler with 3m

Do I need to clean or polish the surface before applying?

Do you use masking tape to line it up just right?

Everyone has their own method, however I found the below method the easiest of the methods. One tidbit, I added way more tape layers as the "hinges" to allow me to pull it taut so that it lined up perfectly when I placed it down. Hope this helps some.

Use 3M adhesive promoter on the trunk lid

Have to say for $120 this spoiler is very well packaged and very well made.

It's made by "rolling gears" on amazon.
