Best sports car for 60k or less

Have at it, what do you guys thi I the best sports car or sedan for 60k or under would be? The caveat is that thecar has to come with a dct type transmission or automatic?

My bet is on the e92m3 or a 996 Porsche 911. But curious what everyone else thinks

if u want a used car ur options are unlimited. but new i would say one of the SRT8 line up or a CTS-V, STI or EVO depends on what ur looking for... if u buy a 60k porsche expect to pay later on.

New or used? I assume used is included because you mentioned the E92 and 996.

Define "best"? Best performance? Best luxury? Best all around? Best gas mileage? Best reliability? Etc. Etc.

What are your priorities?

CTS-V is much more expensive than 60k new if I'm not mistaken. Same with a brand new M3 (unless you literally add nothing to it... but even then).

So new, I would say 335is, Porsche Boxster (love the new one), Audi S5, or Chevy Camaro ZL1 (I would say the new Mustang GT, but it doesn't come with an automatic transmission).

New or used

Best = whatever combination of performance, looks, practicality, you think is best

The only stipulation is that the car will have to have an auto/dct variant because it will be stuck in traffic sometimes

Thanks! Keep the ideas flowing

Since when are the CTS and SRT's sports cars?

Heres my suggestion. Corvette. It doesnt have a DCT but an automatic with paddles. You can buy a brand spanking new one for $60K. Corvette has been the best bang for the sports cars for quite a few years. Cant touch its performance for the price. The LS series engines are nearly bullet proof. Very good mileage for the performance. I get nearly the same mileage in my Vette as I do my 135. A rare car with that hp/tq that isnt charged with the gas guzzler tax.
Takes to mods with ease fo supercar like performance numbers.

I was going to say Porsche 996 turbo...

or a Lotus Elise SC,

or an Ariel Atom.

Edit: just checked the price for a new Ariel Atom, $52,000 base price...end of discussion.

I never saw one in person. Did they look awesome or just weird and silly?

They definitely looked awesome. I tried to talk to the owners about them, they weren't too friendly though.
