New Girl getting started - 2013 328i Xdrive N20

Hi all I’m looking to do some baby mods to my car as I am just getting started - i didn’t some exterior and bit of interior work but now I’m looking for more haha - I want exhaust tips but maybe ones that add a bit of noise to the stock? I’m not sure if I sure do a muffler delete or what, I’m on a budget so I’m looking for the best out of my money. I for sure want some noise and I want to in future when I save up switch my rear and front bumper to the m style so I can’t do a dual exhaust system and add a diffuser, I’ve also been looking at cold air intakes and not sure which to go with so all advice and tips are apparecited I’ve included some pics so y’all can see what I’ve done so far

Congrats...addi your personal touches as you see fit, but if it were me... don't pull the trigger on the muffler, until you take care of following preemptive maintaince so you don't leave yourself stranded:

1) replace OEM (plastic) charge pipe with an aftermarket (non plastic)....plenty of options out there, which you can research (personally went w/ Kies)

2) replace OEM (plastic) inlet pipe....moreso if you plan on doing any form of stage2 or just for the overall peace of mind (personally went w/ MST)

Aside from that :sparkplugs, brakes, rotors etc when the time presents itself - - you're pretty much rock solid...as everything else after that are cosmetic personal touches to enhance the look performance

Start with looking at Racing Bees in Scarborough, for example.

Read here about charge pipes for N20: https://bmwtuning.co/bmw-n20-charge-...ed%20pressure.

There is plenty of info on this forum, use Search function as N20 has been around for a long time.

Haha thank you for the response! I’ll take a look at replacing all those plastic parts - as you can tell I’m still a noob and have no idea what I’m talking about or looking at under the hood 😂😂😂 is there any websites or store you’d recommend in the GTA that is decently priced for their stuff?
I’m looking at this charge pipe and this one as well just not sure which to go with, also on budget lol thankss! Any advice would help! 👍🏼I’ll take a look at the racing bees one as well!

VRSF is very reputable in terms of charge pipes.
Purchasing from Kies means shipping across the border from the States.

Can vouch for Racing Bees in Scarborough. Have purchased a couple items from them. Their prices are reasonable and a good group of people that work there.

If you have an N20 with over 100,000Km waste no time on charge pipes but get the timing chain and chain guides swapped ASAP. Even if the charge pipe did get a crack in it, that won’t kill your engine. A jumped timing chain will. A number of N20s had poorly performing guides that prematurely failed.

Talk to Marshall at Bavarian Motors in Pickering.

It isn’t that assuming that it’s an older N20 with the old chain guides? Newer , maybe starting with 2014/2015 model years had the improved parts.

True. But the car is a 2013 328i. So, it may have actually been built in 2012.
