Sorry to reopen this thread. I have a question regarding the DME since you all were talking about this.
I am trying to remap the DME (nothing remap yet. only read the code) and now my car can't start. It can crank but just wouldn't start. I have the following 2 error codes (using rheingold): 113026 Ignition relay and injectors, supply voltage, fuel injection: Short circuit to ground 1F0514 Valvetronic, supply voltage: short circuit to earth i have tried changing the IVM but car still cannot start. Do you think my DME is dead? |

Sound like you need a flatbed and a visit to the dealer. Have you ONLY been fiddling with the software?

We were trying to read the DME before making changes to the parameters.
I think along the way when we were plying open the DME, we may accidentally destroyed one of the capacitor .... So we suspect the DME is dead since changing the IVM didnt solve the problem. |

I heard that on some DME's components are glued to the lid also, so it sound plausible that you might have damaged a components...or two. Time to find an electronics wizard and do some soldering

My condolences to those who suffered DME deaths. Seriously not being sarcastic that's gotta be nightmarish. That said if you're in SoCal I do know someone who can repair them. PM me.
